Lisa Kinzelberg is a fine artist based in Chicago. Her newest series, “Cities of the World,” is an homage to the incredible cities that hold special meaning to her — whether she has traveled or lived there before, or hopes to one day.

I honor and celebrate different cities by painting their unique energy and character — what I see as special about them — based on my memories and personal experiences there, or based on the idea of them, even if I haven’t been there.

I think it is significant that we all have places that hold a personal meaning to us, whether it is the town we grew up in, a cherished vacation spot….or somewhere we call “home.” I also love how cities enable us to form communities, explore different cultures, create memories with loved ones and new friends…. and, ultimately, evolve as individuals.

Karolina Karlsson is a Swedish-American self-taught artist painting in St. Barths and New York. She’s exhibited at Saatchi Gallery during Focus Art Fair London, Spectrum Art Fair during Miami Art Week, Maison Pelican in St. Barths and shows work at her Manhattan studio. Her work has also been featured in notable publications such as Zion Magazine and mentioned in L’Officiel St. Barths.

Karolina draws inspiration from the human form, food, and minimalist patterns, exploring elements of proportion to create aesthetically pleasing designs. Her work combines subtle yet vibrant colors, adding a modest tone to her otherwise playful imagery.
