Community Contributor

Do you love sharing stories about your town, community happenings, or local life?

Community Contributors are writers who submit stories regularly—weekly or biweekly—covering everything from everyday experiences to local culture, school sports, and more.

IDEAL FOR:

Passionate residents
Teachers, coaches, and volunteers
Cultural Arts enthusiasts
Local writers who want to share community voices
(No political content, divisive opinions, negative or unkind commentary about individuals or groups)

Guest Contributor

Do you have an update to share about your business, organization, school or save the date non-profit event?

This option is perfect for those who want to submit 1 to 5 stories per month.

Nonprofits and civic organizations
Event hosts

ACCEPTABLE SUBMISSIONS INCLUDE:

Fundraiser and charity announcements

Submission Guidelines (for all contributors!

Keep posts between 200 and 1,000 words
Add a clear headline and descriptive title
Write in a friendly, respectful, and informative tone
All content must be original and free of plagiarism
- If quoting or paraphrasing, include proper citation or links
Include at least one high-quality photo (optional but encouraged)
Select the town or topic for your post
Add zip codes and keywords as tags for better reach
Use short paragraphs for readability
Keep sales language minimal—this is about community first!
You may include a short bio or website link at the end of your post

Approval & Publishing

All stories are reviewed by our editorial team before publishing. We may make light edits for clarity, grammar, or style. You’ll be notified once your story goes live.

New stories are published weekly
Submit time-sensitive content at least 7 days in advance
