The Prospector Theater is located in the heart of historic Ridgefield, Connecticut. Sitting on the footprint of the town’s original movie house, the Prospector Theater was completely rebuilt from the ground-up with the mission of competitive and integrated employment for adults with disabilities in mind. The 26,000 square foot building leads the way in excellence of exhibition, accessibility, and employment. Over 650,000 guests have been dazzled by Prospect sparkle since opening in November of 2014.

The Prospector Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing competitive and integrated employment to people with disabilities through the operation of a premium, first-run movie theater located in Ridgefield, CT.

Employees of the Theater are known as Prospects. Approximately 74% of our workforce self-identify with a disability. We sparkle and transform our passions into professions, while earning paychecks with competitive wages.
