You walk in not knowing what a slicer is. You walk out with a fidget clicker you designed yourself.
This is a small-group training session on the BambuLab P1S 3D printer in New Canaan Library's Anderson MakerLab, open to ages 8 through adult. It covers how to design projects and where to find them, how to set up a print in Bambu Studio including the settings that matter and multi-color printing, how to reserve the library's printer for your own work afterwards, and ideas for what to make next. The hands-on example is a clicker fidget, designed and printed during the session. Depending on how many people are printing that evening, you may need to come back to the library to collect your finished piece.
Good to know. Registration is required and closes on 16 November at 5:00pm. Include every person who will be attending when you register, because places are counted per head rather than per booking. The library lists this one for registrants aged 8 through over 21, so it is genuinely a session a parent and child can do together.
Where to go. Anderson MakerLab, New Canaan Library, 151 Main Street.
