Alzheimer's and Dementia Caregiver Support Group

Everyone in the room already understands the part that is hardest to explain to anyone else.

Family members, caregivers and friends meet for informative and supportive group sessions built around navigating the changes that come with memory loss and cognitive decline. The group is facilitated by Chris DiElsi, a Licensed Master Social Worker and an Alzheimer's Navigator at Waveny LifeCare Network, and the room is set up so that people can find guidance, offer support and ask questions safely.

Each meeting covers coping techniques and strategies, space to share your own stories and experiences, room to talk honestly about feelings, needs and concerns, and information about the community resources available to you.

It is free. The library describes this explicitly as a free Caregiver Peer Support Group.
