America/Beautiful with Min Kwon at The Granite
Concert

Seventy six composers, one tune, and a portrait of a country.
America/Beautiful is pianist and arts advocate Min Kwon's project, in which she commissioned 76 of today's leading composers to each write a variation on America the Beautiful. Her hope was to paint a sonic picture of her adopted country in all its sprawling complexity, and to find the beauty at the core of the American experiment and its credo of e pluribus unum, out of many, one.
Michelle Witt, executive and artistic director of the Meany Center for the Arts, called it "a visionary project that speaks to the power of music to bring people together across differences."
Doors open an hour early. Doors at 2pm for a 3pm start.
Good to know. Tickets are $45, and the Granite holds back a small number of Pay What You Can tickets for every concert in the series, so cost does not have to be the reason you miss it.
Part of a series. This is one afternoon of America: A Portrait in Sound, the Granite's Fall 2026 Sunday Chamber Music Series.
Where to go. The Granite sits on North Main Street in the Georgetown corner of Redding, a short run for anyone in lower Fairfield County.
