An Evening with Deni Elliott at the Prospector Theater

An author, her guide dogs and a live demonstration.

The Prospector and Guiding Eyes for the Blind are hosting an evening with Deni Elliott, a Guiding Eyes graduate and author of the memoir Catching Sight: How a guide dog helped me see myself. Penguin Random House named it one of its Dog Days of Summer books, and the audiobook hit number one on Amazon's new releases in biographies of people with disabilities. Guiding Eyes President and CEO Christopher Perry opens the night, then Deni talks about her life with guide dogs and her path to becoming an author.

What your ticket covers. The talk, an interactive Q&A, a live guide dog demonstration and a chance to meet Deni at the book signing afterward. General admission is $30, or $50 with a signed copy of the book.

Good to know. Guiding Eyes guide dogs, puppies in the Puppy Raising program that are ready for public access, and other ADA-recognized service dogs are all welcome.

Every ticket does some good. The Prospector is a nonprofit theater built to employ adults with disabilities, who the theater calls Prospects. They greet you and seat you before every show. Closed caption devices and descriptive audio headsets are available at every first-run show.
