Armored Saint & Metal Church: The Metal Saint Tour 2027

Two of American heavy metal's founding names are splitting a bill in Ridgefield.

The Metal Saint Tour is co-headlined, so nobody here is the opening act. Metal Church debuted in 1980, has fourteen studio albums behind it, and is counted among the pioneers of thrash and speed metal, led today by founding member Kurdt Vanderhoof. Armored Saint arrives on the back of Emotion Factory Reset, its ninth full-length record, which keeps faith with one of the most recognizable catalogs in heavy music while writing squarely in the present. Between them that is decades of classic riffs, soaring vocals, and thunderous power in a room that seats a few hundred.

Good to know. The music starts at 7:00pm, earlier than a lot of Friday shows here, so plan dinner around it rather than after it. The Playhouse box office opens one hour before any scheduled performance, and tickets are also sold online.

Where to go. The Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 East Ridge Road, Ridgefield.
