Artist's Reception: Sara Kaplan

Portraits that look back at you.

Sara Kaplan has been an architect, a crossword puzzle constructor, a stay at home mom and a prolific doodler. She started painting in 2018 and works mostly in portraits, chasing psychological depth and the way paint can capture different kinds of light. Every subject in the show is a friend, a family member, or Kaplan herself. The reception is the chance to meet her and look at the work with other people in the room.

Good to know. No registration is necessary. The exhibit hangs in the lower level gallery and is open during regular library hours, so you can come back and look again.

If you want to take something home. Pieces in the show are for sale with prices available on request, and Kaplan takes commissions.
