Cat Kid Comic Club: The Musical, Afternoon Show

Flippy the fish just wanted his children to be creative. He should have been more specific.

Cat Kid and Molly Pollywog have started an epic club to teach twenty one rambunctious baby frogs how to make their own comics. Their fishy father Flippy is overjoyed, until the frogs' constant bickering and outrageous imaginations send the whole enterprise comically off the rails. Will the club survive? Will the frogs ever get along? Will creativity save the day?

This madcap musical is based on Dav Pilkey's irreverently hilarious Cat Kid Comic Club series, the Dog Man spin off, and is written by Kevin Del Aguila and Brad Alexander, the team responsible for Dog Man: The Musical.

Good to know. Recommended for ages 5 to 9, running about 65 minutes. This is the afternoon show; there is an 11am earlier the same day.

Make a day of it. Show your ticket at Dimitri's Diner, 16 Prospect Street in Ridgefield, before or after the show and they take 10 percent off your meal.

Where to go. The Playhouse is at 80 East Ridge Road in Ridgefield, behind the town hall, and it is an easy run in from anywhere in lower Fairfield County.
