Christmas With The Celts

The show that started as a PBS special has become a Ridgefield habit, and it is back for two performances with the Ashurst Academy of Irish Dance. Christmas With The Celts blends timeless Irish Christmas carols, lively Irish dance, and contemporary songs played on Irish instrumentation, and the mix changes every year. The Celts add new Christmas hits, new originals, and fresh dance tunes each season, so no two performances are the same.

Expect classics you know reframed by pipes and fiddle: "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Little Drummer Boy," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," and John Lennon's "Happy Christmas," alongside traditional Irish music. The lineup features Emerald Rae on vocals and fiddle, Dublin's Patrick D'Arcy, who has played with U2, Sting, and Josh Groban, on uilleann pipes, and Ric Blair on vocals, guitar, and bodhran, plus Irish whistles, bass, drums, and the dancers who make the floor shake.
