Citizen Emergency Preparedness Workshop
Workshop & Classes

The plan you make now is the one you will not have to invent later.
Members of the National Guard run this preparedness session, part of a New York State training program that exists to leave residents with the tools to prepare for a disaster, respond sensibly when one arrives, and recover from it quickly. The evening covers natural and man-made emergencies alike, and the practical core of it is building a family emergency plan and working out what to stock before you need it.
Good to know. Free. Registration runs through the New York State preparedness site rather than the library's own calendar, so follow the link on the event page.
Worth knowing. These sessions usually send participants home with supplies to start a kit, though the library has not said so for this date.
Please check with the organizer if the event date, time or offer has changed.** LTO
