Nobody is born knowing what superscoring is, and you were never supposed to.
This session breaks the testing landscape down in plain English, with no jargon. It covers the SAT against the ACT on adaptive testing, format, timing and what genuinely makes each one different, what actually counts as a good score, and how superscoring can work in your favor. It also untangles test optional, test blind and test flexible policies and what each really means, what colleges see in score reporting and what they do not, and how to build a prep plan that is smart and realistic rather than aspirational.
Priyanka Shingala of Let's Talk College, LLC leads the session.
Part of a bigger day. This is one of three sessions in an all day college prep event at the library. The other two cover maximizing your chances of acceptance as a junior, and finding scholarships. Registration is separate for each session.
Who it is for. Recommended for students in grades 9 through 11 and their parents, though all ages are welcome.
Good to know. Pre-registration is required and closes at 12:00pm on the day.
Where to go. The Craig B. Tate Conference Room.
Check before you go. New Canaan Library does not publish a price for this program. Confirm the cost and registration details on the venue's event page before you plan around it.
