VENUE:

The Museum has closed for the day by the time this one starts. That is the point.
Diana Bowes Chief Curator Amy Smith-Stewart leads an exclusive after-hours tour of The Aldrich Decennial: I am what is around me, walking a small group through the exhibition with the person who shaped it. The Decennial is the Museum's once-a-decade survey of new art made in Connecticut, and hearing the curatorial thinking behind the selections is a different experience from reading the wall labels.
Members get an extra half hour. Members are invited to arrive at 5:30 pm for refreshments with Smith-Stewart before the tour itself begins.
What it costs. Free for members, $10.60 general admission and $5.30 for seniors and students, including the online booking fee. The Museum takes membership sign-ups online and by email if you want to go the other route.
Where to go. The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, 258 Main Street, Ridgefield. The evening runs 5:30 to 7 pm on Wednesday, December 16.
