A room where the subject nobody raises is the only thing on the agenda.
Dying to Know is a moderated discussion group at the Mark Twain Library created to open up and normalise conversation about death and dying, in a judgment-free setting where the other participants are often strangers, which turns out to make it easier rather than harder. Mickey Nelson and Sue Broudy, both certified end-of-life doulas, guide the conversation. You are welcome to come and listen without saying anything at all, and every perspective is respected. It is worth being clear about what it is not: this is not a grief support group and not a counselling session, but a space for questions and for deepening awareness. It meets on the second Monday of the month.
Good to know. Free, and registration is required.
