English Learners Book Club

Reading a novel in your second language is a lot easier when eight other people are doing it at the same pace.

The Danbury Library’s English Learners Book Club meets weekly in the second-floor Conference Room to work through Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid. About thirty pages before each meeting, then an hour and a half of discussion — comprehension, pronunciation, and the ordinary pleasure of arguing about a book. It suits high-intermediate and advanced speakers, and you can join in the room or on Zoom.
