Epic Worlds and Celestial Prophecies: The Between Earth and Sky Trilogy with Rebecca Roanhorse

Most epic fantasy borrows its scaffolding from medieval Europe. Rebecca Roanhorse went somewhere else entirely.

The Danbury Library hosts an online conversation with the New York Times bestselling author about her Between Earth and Sky trilogy — Black Sun, Fevered Star and Mirrored Heavens — drawn from the cultures of the pre-Columbian Americas, and built on celestial magic, political intrigue and prophecy. The worldbuilding is the reason people keep pressing these books on each other.
