Sunday at Notch8 starts earlier than the rest of the weekend, which makes it the easiest night of the three to actually get to.

EXIT 5 play a mix of rock, pop and jazz in the 5 to 8 p.m. slot. Sunday shows here run three hours in the early evening rather than late, so you can catch a full set and still be home at a reasonable hour — and the patio is at its best in that stretch of the day.

Make an evening of it. Sunday brunch runs 11 to 3, and the kitchen stays open until 8, so the music and dinner overlap neatly. The bar has 24 taps plus craft cocktails, wine, seltzers and ciders.
