Aging happens whether or not anybody talks about it. This group talks about it.
Fine Wine or Sour Grapes is an informal monthly discussion at the Mark Twain Library about getting older, and it takes its framing from a line of David Bowie's about aging being the process by which you become the person you always should have been. The conversation ranges over staying relevant, resilience, dealing with ageism, and the harder work of acceptance and compassion. It is facilitated by members of the group rather than led from the front, and new people are always welcome, which matters more in a group like this than in most. It meets on the second Thursday of the month.
Good to know. Free, and registration is required.
