First Sunday

One Sunday a month, the whole four-acre site costs nothing.

On the first Sunday of every month, Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center opens with free site admission. That includes a tour of the historic museum and access to every current exhibit, plus free activities for visitors of all ages in the Garden House.

The activities change with the season and usually tie into whatever is on view. October's, for instance, marks National Apple Month with apple-themed crafts, taking its cue from the Hands-On History exhibit next door.

No registration needed. Just turn up and check in at the red brick Visitor Center.

Good to know. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., sitewide, and free. The museum is closed in January and February, so the series runs March through December.
