Hear Me Out: Storytelling Series

True stories, told out loud by the people they actually happened to.

Hear Me Out is the Ridgefield Theater Barn's storytelling series, and this is the second of its two evenings for the 2026 to 2027 season. Host Peter Bachmann invites storytellers up to tell something that genuinely happened to them, funny or moving or surprising or thoroughly uncomfortable, and usually more than one of those at once. Each evening is built with a community partner organization, which is how the series keeps gathering voices and experiences that would not otherwise end up in the same room. The Barn pitches it as a celebration of the art of listening as much as the art of telling, and that is a fair description of what the night actually feels like.

Make a night of it. The Barn seats cabaret style at candlelit tables and you are welcome to bring your own food and drink. Snacks and drinks are on sale in the lobby as well.
