Ikebana Flower Arranging
Workshop & Classes

Flower arranging, but with several centuries of rules behind it.
Ikebana is the Japanese art of arranging cut flowers, and one of the country's traditional arts. The name translates loosely as living flowers, or making flowers come alive, and the discipline is about an arrangement in a container evoking the whole of the natural world it came from rather than simply looking pretty. It rewards restraint in a way most flower arranging does not.
Good to know. Free, two hours on a Friday afternoon in the Schaffner Room. The autumn dates are November 6 and December 4.
No experience needed. The principles are taught from the beginning.
Please check with the organizer if the event date, time or offer has changed.** LTO
