Watercolor is the one medium that has opinions of its own. Learning it is largely learning when to stop fighting.

The first of a three-session beginners’ series at New Canaan Library covering the fundamentals: mixing and blending color, expressive mark-making, and what watercolor does that nothing else does. The setting is deliberately supportive — individual feedback runs throughout each session, alongside group discussion so everyone learns from what the rest of the room is discovering. All materials are supplied.
