John C. Reilly is Mister Romantic

You know John C. Reilly can act. It turns out, as Vanity Fair put it, he "is one hell of a singer." Mister Romantic is his emotional vaudeville show, an act that has already earned critical acclaim and captured a surprising amount of public imagination, and he is backed by a crack band of multi-Grammy winners: David Garza, Charles De Castro, David Piltch, and Gabe Witcher.

The show blends classic songbook material, clowning, and direct audience interaction, and it asks something of you, which is to open your heart to the love that is already around you. The New York Times called it "wryly funny, sometimes tender and sad, but always sincere." The Guardian called it "truly lovable." Reilly is plain about where it came from: he looked at a weary world and decided the most fun way he could spread a little love and empathy was to get on stage and sing at people and tell them he loved them. "We hope it reminds people that it's good to love," he says. "I figured it was worth a try."
