Lime Rock Park 5K Run/Walk
Fitness & Gym

Most people only see this racetrack at 120 miles an hour. This is your chance to see it at nine minutes a mile.
The Lime Rock Park 5K Run/Walk is run by the same organizers as the Lime Rock Park Epic and shares its day. Runners and walkers take two loops of the classic circuit while the cyclists are away on the surrounding roads, which is the whole point of holding the two together: families can split up in the morning and still have the same day out. This is its second year.
The course. Two laps of the raceway. The organizers acknowledge that two laps comes up short of 5 kilometres, so for 2026 they are using a displaced starting line near the entrance to pit road to make up the difference.
The running order. The Epic starts at 8:30, the Epic Explorer at 9:00, the 5K at 9:30 and the Epic Express at 11:00. All staging and parking is at Lime Rock Park.
Race perks. A long sleeve technical tee goes to the first 100 registered runners, and there are awards for the top overall division winners plus the top age division winners in eight categories.
Where the money goes. The 5K supports The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, founded by Paul Newman in 1988, which provides camp experiences free of charge to children with serious illnesses and their families, at its site in Ashford and through hospitals, clinics and outreach across the Northeast.
Good to know. Registration is $35 through 30 September, $40 from 1 to 10 October, and $45 after that, before the processing fee. No dogs or pets are allowed for safety reasons. Headphones are discouraged, because course marshals, bikes and other traffic are all sharing the site. Wheelchairs and adaptive push strollers are welcome, and the organizers ask that you contact them ahead so they can help with any accommodations.
Where to go. Lime Rock Park, 60 White Hollow Road in Lakeville.
