Memoir Writers Group

Read two to five minutes of your own life out loud, and let a room full of people simply hear it.

The library's Memoir Writers Group meets every month. Participants share a short memoir piece of two to five minutes, and what follows is group discussion, reactions and insights rather than a line edit.

This is deliberately not a writing workshop. The group does not critique participants' work. The focus is on listening and sharing, which makes it a very different room from a manuscript group and a considerably easier one to walk into for the first time. New members are welcome.

Good to know. Registration is required and closes at 10:00am, as the session begins.
