My Children! My Africa! at The Granite
Arts & Culture

Three people in a classroom, in the last years of apartheid, arguing about what is worth doing.
Athol Fugard's two-act play puts a teacher and two students, one black and one white, in a South African high school as the country comes apart around them. It is a three-character piece, which means there is nowhere for any of them to hide.
When it plays. Eight performances over two weekends. Thursday to Saturday, November 12 to 14 and 19 to 21, at 8:00pm with doors at 7:30pm. Sunday November 15 and Sunday November 22 are matinees at 2:00pm with doors at 1:30pm.
What it costs. $45 general admission and $25 for students and youth aged 13 to 17. Children under 13 come free with a ticketed adult. The Granite also releases a limited number of pay what you can tickets for every showtime, so the price is not the barrier it looks like.
