Old Time Jam at The Granite
Live Music

Calling all fiddles, guitars and banjos.
Once a month the Granite hands the room over to an Old Time Jam. Bring any acoustic string instrument and play along, or sit back and listen to Appalachian music with everyone else. It is as much about making new friends over old-timey tunes as it is about the playing, and the Granite's own line on it is the best description of the door policy: come as you are, give as you can.
New to it? If you want a sense of what gets played before you turn up with an instrument, the Granite points people at The Old Time 100 album by Tristan Scoggins and George Jackson.
The dates. Third Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm. The Granite has twelve on the calendar, running through next October: 18 November, 16 December, 20 January, 17 February, 17 March, 21 April, 19 May, 16 June, 21 July, 18 August, 15 September and 20 October.
Good to know. There is no ticket. Donations are appreciated, and all are welcome.
Where to go. The Granite sits on North Main Street in the Georgetown corner of Redding, a short run for anyone in lower Fairfield County.
