Online: Next Chapter Book Club

People join book clubs for the same reasons anyone reads: to get somewhere else for an hour, meet interesting characters, and learn something unexpected. Next Chapter Book Club is a community-based club built for adolescents aged 16 and up and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and it runs on the premise that doing all of that with friends makes it better.

It meets on Zoom and is open to anyone who enjoys a good story. Non-readers, non-verbal participants, emerging readers and fluent, avid readers are all welcome, and everyone takes part at whatever level feels comfortable. Books are provided ahead of each meeting, so there is nothing to buy or track down.

When it meets. Most Monday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, running through mid-December. There is no session on October 12 or November 23.
