Open Tech

Whatever the phone is doing, somebody at the library has seen it before.

Open Tech is a weekly drop-in at New Canaan Library where a tech librarian sits down with you one-on-one. Email that will not behave, a smartphone or tablet you are still arguing with, social media, or getting into the library’s digital collection — all of it is fair game, and so is any other technology question, though the library is honest that some things fall outside what they can fix. No appointment and no registration; you just turn up.

Good to know. Help is first-come, first-served and capped at 20 minutes per session, so the queue keeps moving. Attending means agreeing to the library’s Open Tech policy.

Check before you go. New Canaan Library does not publish a price for this program. Confirm the cost and any details on the library’s event page before you plan around it.
