A shell is already a dish. This afternoon just makes it a nicer one.

Using prepared shells, pretty paper napkins and a little gold paint along the edges, participants decoupage their own trinket dishes — the sort of thing that ends up on a nightstand holding earrings. It is part of the library's One Town, One Read season, which this year runs on a seaside and wedding theme.
