Poetry Workshop with Ira Joe Fisher, Group A

One poem, read aloud, taken seriously by a room of people who also write. Poet Laureate Ira Joe Fisher runs these workshops twice a month, and this listing is Group A, the first-Sunday half.

You arrive with a poem for the day. It gets read and discussed, with revision urged where it is needed, and the tone is deliberately gentle, tactful and encouraging rather than combative. The stated aim is that you leave with ideas and a good creative feeling.

What to bring. One poem, plus six copies, double-spaced so people can mark them up.

Pick one group, not both. Group A meets first Sundays, Group B meets third Sundays, both 1:30 to 3:30 pm in the Randolph Board Room. Register for one or the other, not both.
