Poets & Prophets for Emerging Change Leaders

You don't have to fit in. You have to find out who you are.

That's the idea behind Poets & Prophets for Emerging Change Leaders, a ten-week cohort at The Meetinghouse on Ridgebury Road for teens ages 16 to 18. These kids are growing up while AI changes how we work, climate change reshapes how we live, and a lot of institutions and communities are pulling apart. This group gives them room to sort through the noise and ask where they belong and what difference they might make.

It's leadership that starts with the person, not the résumé. The journey moves through four questions: Know Your Story (who am I becoming?), Find Your Edge (what happens when I step past what I know?), Find Your People (where, and with whom, do I belong?), and Discover Your Call (what is mine to do?). Along the way they practice curiosity, courage, deep listening, and empathy, and learn to stay present when the answers aren't obvious.

When and where. The group meets every Thursday from 5:00 to 6:30pm, upstairs in Shield's Hall.

Good to know. The cohort is capped at 12, with a minimum of 5, and teens should bring a pen and a notebook or journal. Registration is through The Meetinghouse's online form, and questions go to heather@meetinghouse.life.
