Practical Magic 2 at the Prospector Theater

The Owens sisters are back. So is the magic.

Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return as Sally and Gillian Owens in Practical Magic 2, directed by Susanne Bier with Joey King in the cast. This time the sisters have to face a dark curse that threatens to unravel the Owens line for good, and it takes every bit of their ancestral magic to fight back. Expect romance, fantasy and plenty of mischief across two hours and ten minutes.

Showtimes. Thursday at 4:15 and 7pm. Friday through Sunday at 4 and 7pm, and the Friday, September 25 show at 7pm runs with open captions. Monday and Tuesday at 7pm only. Wednesday, September 30 is Open Caption Day, so both shows, 4 and 7pm, run with captions on screen. Times can change, so check the showtimes page before you go.

Good to know. Rated PG-13. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for kids 11 and under. The theater suggests arriving 30 minutes early to grab concessions and good seats.

Every ticket does some good. The Prospector is a nonprofit theater built to employ adults with disabilities, who the theater calls Prospects. They greet you and seat you before every show. Closed caption devices and descriptive audio headsets are available at every first-run show.

Make a night of it. The Heads Up Café inside the theater pours coffee, beer and wine, and the ceiling is covered in pennies hand-placed heads up by the Prospects. Downtown Ridgefield's Main Street restaurants are a short walk away.
