Rocky is small, 3D-printed, and about to teach you the surface of the Moon.

The Danbury Library marks International Observe the Moon Night with a hands-on session in the MakerLab built around Rocky, a printed visitor inspired by Project Hail Mary. You will train the way an astronaut does — identifying regions, picking out craters and mountain ranges, collecting the odd fact along the way — and then dig deeper into those regions using NASA’s Moon Trek. By the end you will know what you are looking at when you step outside and glance up.

Good to know. Free, ages 12 and up, space is limited and registration is required. No 3D-printing or design experience needed.
