RSO Gala: A (Short) Night at the Opera

Mozart's funniest opera, cut to a length that still leaves you an evening.

The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra closes its season with an abridged staging of Cosi fan tutte, Mozart's comedy about two men, two sisters and a wager that gets badly out of hand. The orchestra bills it as a lighthearted evening of music and fun, and the shortened form is the whole idea: the arias without the endurance test.

How the evening runs. Gala sponsors and VIP ticket holders get a cocktail party from 5:30pm with heavy hors d'oeuvres, sweet treats and wine. Doors open to performance only ticket holders at 7:00pm. The performance starts at 7:30pm.

What it costs. VIP tickets are $125 and include prime orchestra seating plus the cocktail party. Performance only tickets are $60, $45 or $25 for adults depending on where you sit, $55, $40 or $20 for seniors, and $10 for students.

One thing to know when you book. The ticketing page spells the opera Cossi fan tutti. It is the same show. The correct spelling is Cosi fan tutte.
