RSO in Concert: Brilliance

The orchestra closes its season with its cellist out front.

Francesca McNeeley is the soloist for a programme that ranges wide: the overture to Smetana's The Bartered Bride to open, Tchaikovsky's Andante cantabile, Jessie Montgomery's Divided, Richard Strauss's Don Juan, and Rachmaninoff's Caprice bohémien to finish. Montgomery alongside Strauss and Rachmaninoff is the sort of programming that makes a season finale worth turning up for rather than just worth attending.
