Salsa Sundays

A monthly salsa night led by the father-and-son duo Marcos and Kilo Torres, with dance instruction, a DJ set from DJ Harry T, and a live band assembled from Grammy-winning and nationally touring players — Marcos Torres Sr. on guitar, tres and vocals, Marcos "Kilo" Torres on congas, Luis Torres on timbales, Anthony de Leon on trombone, Damien Curtis on piano and Benny Velasquez on bass.

The instruction is the part worth knowing about if you have been meaning to learn: you are not expected to arrive able to dance.

Good to know. $15 advance, $20 on the day, plus online fees. 21 and over. Doors at 6, music at 7. The venue runs this on the last Sunday of every month — 25 October, 29 November and 27 December. Full bar and kitchen open from doors.
