Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom at the Prospector Theater

A trashed pumpkin patch. A mad scientist sheep. A beast in the woods.

Everyone on Mossy Bottom Farm is looking forward to Halloween until the clumsy Farmer wrecks the Flock's beloved pumpkin patch. Shaun tries to fix things as a mad scientist, and it all spirals out of control fast. Soon the Farmer is missing and a wild beast is roaming the woods of Mossingham. It is a spooky-silly family adventure that runs a kid-friendly 80 minutes.

Showtimes. One show a day now. Friday at 1pm, Saturday at 1:15pm and Sunday at 1pm. Monday and Tuesday at 4:30pm. Wednesday, September 30 is Open Caption Day, with captions on screen at 1:30pm. Times can change, so check the showtimes page before you go.

Good to know. Rated PG. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for kids 11 and under. The theater suggests arriving 30 minutes early to grab concessions and good seats.

Every ticket does some good. The Prospector is a nonprofit theater built to employ adults with disabilities, who the theater calls Prospects. They greet you and seat you before every show. Closed caption devices and descriptive audio headsets are available at every first-run show.

Make a night of it. The Heads Up Café inside the theater pours coffee, beer and wine, and the ceiling is covered in pennies hand-placed heads up by the Prospects. Downtown Ridgefield's Main Street restaurants are a short walk away.
