Spotted Lanternfly: It's Here, What Now?

The spotted lanternfly reached New York City in 2020 and is now established across the Lower Hudson Valley, Westchester County included.

The library and the North Salem Open Land Foundation have partnered with Cornell Cooperative Extension for an in-person presentation on what this invasive planthopper means for local landscapes and for vineyards. The session walks through images of the insect at each of its life stages so you can recognize it, and covers what to do when you find one.

Good to know. Free, in person at the library at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 26.
