Stand-Up Comedy Open Mic Night

Ridgefield's newest comedy tradition, where the person bombing might turn out to be you, and that is entirely the point.

Stand Up Comedy Open Mic Night runs in the Ridgefield Theater Barn's downstairs Black Box, hosted by Blaine Langberg and modeled on the Barn's long running Improv Jam. Budding comedians take the stage and everybody else gets fresh, unscripted comedy with no idea what is coming next. No experience is necessary and the night is open to the public, so come to perform, come to watch, or come simply because it is a good room to be in. A winner is declared each month, and monthly winners earn a shot at appearing in the August 2027 Showcase.

Good to know. Doors open at 7pm and the open mic itself begins at 7:30pm. A suggested $5 donation helps support the Barn and keeps the series going. Performers register in advance through the Barn's stand up page.

Where to go. The Black Box is downstairs, so use the Barn's lower entrance.

Check before you go. The Barn notes that these dates are subject to change, so confirm on its page before you head out. Questions go to Blaine Langberg at drlangberg@yahoo.com.
