STOMP
Arts & Culture

Eight people, no conventional instruments, and a stage full of rhythm.
STOMP is explosive, inventive, provocative, witty and utterly unique. The international percussion sensation has collected armfuls of awards and rave reviews and turned up on countless national television shows. The eight-member troupe uses everything except conventional percussion: matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, bin lids, Zippo lighters, hubcaps.
The Boston Globe's line on it has stuck for a reason: "If you haven't seen STOMP, GO!"
Good to know. Tickets were not yet on sale when this was listed. The Palace has them going on sale on 18 September at 10am, so set a reminder. Doors open at 6pm.
Where to go. The Palace Theatre sits on Atlantic Street in downtown Stamford, an easy run from anywhere in lower Fairfield County, with restaurants and parking within a short walk.
