Story Time for Kids: Magic: Once Upon a Faraway Land

A picture book, a walk through the galleries, and a hat to make and take home.

The Aldrich runs Story Time in collaboration with the Ridgefield Library, and this session explores the work of artist Scott Carrillo Azevedo. Together the group reads Magic: Once Upon a Faraway Land, written and illustrated by Mirelle Ortega, then heads into The Studio to make homemade hats. It is built for families with children ages 6 and under, so expect it to move at a small person's pace.

It's free. There is no charge for Story Time, but pre-registration is required. The session runs 10:30 to 11:30 am.

Make a morning of it. This falls on a Third Saturday, when admission to the whole Museum is free for everyone. Stay on afterward and see the galleries.

Where to go. The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, 258 Main Street, Ridgefield.
