Tellabration 2026
Historical

Twelve people, four minutes each, and the clock is not a suggestion.
Tellabration began in Connecticut in 1988, started by PawPaw Pinkerton, and has since become an international storytelling night. Ridgefield's edition returns to the Scott House with Dr. Darla Shaw as master of ceremonies and storyteller; she also recruits and coaches the tellers.
Every story is true and every one connects to Ridgefield. This year's run includes a true crime story, the history of the town's schools, and former State Representative John Frey on his own neighborhood, under the title "To Think I Saw It on Mulberry Street." The other tellers are Mary Ellen Pagano, Rob Mayette, Marc Katz, Tom McManus, Gregg Hutchings, Daryl Noble, Anne Beatty, Walter Beatty, Joan Voss and Manette Hutchings.
Register first. It is free, but seating and parking at the Scott House are both limited, so registration is required.
Parking. Overflow parking is several blocks away at Ridgefield Supply Co., 29 Prospect Street. If that walk is a problem, call the Society on 203-438-5821 before the day.
Please check with the organizer if the event date, time or offer has changed.** LTO
