The Ancestry Trifecta: Navigating Ancestry, Fold3, & Newspapers
Workshop & Classes

Most people searching their family tree use one site and a fraction of it.
Ancestry is where most new genealogists start, and over the years it has grown into several distinct research tools: the main database, Fold3 for military records, and its newspaper archives. This session covers how the three work together, which is where the real finds tend to come from and which almost nobody works out unaided.
This one is online. It runs on Zoom.
Good to know. Free, an hour on Friday afternoon.
Start free first. The library's October session on FamilySearch covers the free tools, and the two make a sensible pair in that order.
