The Genesis Show: 1982 Three Sides Live Encore Tour

1982. Supper's Ready, complete, for the last time Genesis ever played it that way.

Travel back to the year Genesis was becoming one of the biggest bands in the world. Following the release of Three Sides Live, Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford hit the road with touring musicians Daryl Stuermer and Chester Thompson, and the set they built was unusual: the punch of the newer material, Paperlate and Man Of The Corner, set against a deliberate return to the progressive roots, including The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway paired with Watcher of the Skies, and the complete Supper's Ready.

The tour took in the legendary 21 August 1982 concert at Philadelphia's JFK Stadium in front of roughly 58,000 people.

The Genesis Show recreates that era exactly: the sound, the performances and the music of the Three Sides Live Encore Tour.

Two very different nights. The following evening they perform a completely separate show recreating the 1982 Peter Gabriel reunion concert. They are not the same set.

Good to know. This is a rental of the Playhouse.

Where to go. The Playhouse is at 80 East Ridge Road in Ridgefield, behind the town hall, and it is an easy run in from anywhere in lower Fairfield County.
