The Jones Factor Lite

Same full flavor with only half the calories, as the band puts it.

The Jones Factor Lite is the six-piece version of the ten-piece Jones Factor, led by Pound Ridge resident John Fumasoli, playing jazz with a serious R and B, soul and funk edge. They are returning to Pound Ridge by invitation.

The line-up is John Fumasoli on trombone, also the composer, arranger and bandleader, who has played with Tony Bennett, Gerry Mulligan, Diana Ross and John Tropea across more than fifty years in the business; Bill Harris on saxophones and flute (Paul Shaffer, The Temptations, Patti LaBelle, Sam Moore); Rob Aries on piano (Average White Band, Bill Evans, John Scofield, Liza Minnelli); Dave Anderson on bass (Smokey Robinson, Bob Baldwin, Bernie Williams, Special EFX); Tyger MacNeal on drums (Average White Band, Rosemary Clooney, The Four Tops, Jose Feliciano); and Chris Pasin on trumpet and flugelhorn (Buddy Rich, Frank Sinatra, Jack McDuff, Roland Vazquez).

Good to know. Free, at the library.
