The Met Live in HD: Parsifal (Wagner), Encore

Clear the whole afternoon. This one takes six hours and earns them.

Wagner's epic final opera unfolds in a sacred realm of ritual and mystery, a meditation on healing and redemption built around a medieval knight's quest for the Holy Grail. Tenor Piotr Beczala, whose Met credits include Andrea Chenier, Aida, Carmen, Lohengrin and Fedora, sings the title role. Elina Garanca, Peter Mattei, Ryan Speedo Green, Jongmin Park and Alfred Walker fill out the cast, Yannick Nezet-Seguin conducts, and Francois Girard directs a staging The New York Times praised for its striking imagery.

This is an encore screening in the Met: Live in HD series, sent from the Metropolitan Opera stage into cinemas worldwide. Running time is about 6 hours and 5 minutes with two intermissions. It was rescheduled from its original date in June 2026.
