The Psychedelic Furs

Four decades on, and Pretty In Pink still does the thing it does.

The Psychedelic Furs came out of the UK post punk scene led by vocalist and songwriter Richard Butler and his bass playing brother Tim, and they found the exact spot where rawness and romanticism overlap and stayed there. College and alternative radio took them up quickly and a run of hits followed: Love My Way, Pretty In Pink, Heaven, The Ghost In You and Heartbreak Beat, across eight studio albums, several compilations, a box set and a live DVD, plus one of the most iconic film soundtracks ever made.

Their most recent record, Made Of Rain, charted across a string of countries and became the band's second highest ranked UK album ever, turning up in dozens of end of year best albums lists.

Where they really operate is on stage. They have headlined Glastonbury and more recently played the Hollywood Bowl, the Royal Albert Hall, Radio City Music Hall and the Grand Ole Opry, and they still tour constantly.
