The Red Carpet Gala

Fifty years of playing somebody else's house on screen, celebrated in the actual house.

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion has spent half a century as a film location, and the museum is marking it with a gala through its historic rooms. The evening runs a cinematic experience courtesy of the Avon Theatre, a formal dinner, and both silent and live auctions. There is also an exclusive first look at The Evolving Icon, the museum's exhibition made with the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, before it opens to anyone else.

Dress for it. Red carpet or black-tie optional. This is the one night of the mansion's year where that instruction is meant literally.
